Welcome to Panta Rei Therapy´s hompage. My name is Birgit Sjögren and I am the owner of this company.

I work with various kinds of abuse/addictions like, alcohol, drugs (legal and illegal), shopping, sex, gambling, and food etc….. There are also the more and more common abuse/addictions that are spreading all over the world and sadly to say, into younger and younger ages, the gambling abuse/addiction.

I also work with relation problems. When you have a relative or a significant other in your surrounding, that have some kind of problems or disease (it can be abuse/addictions, cancer, Alzheimer’s or other physical or mental problems). When this happens in your life all focus will be on the person that has the disease and this will make you very lonely and tired. But I will focus on you alone so you can find strength to be you and go on with your life.

I also have courses in grieving were we will work after a program that comes from the book “The Grief Recovery Handbook” written by John W James and Russell Friedman. They have worked with grievers fore more then 25 years. “Time heals all wounds” is one of the myths we learn about grieving. Time does not heal anything it might give us some distance. I do know people that have been grieving fore 30 and 40 years. “Grief is emotional not intellectual problem and a normal and natural emotional reaction on a loss of any kind (death, divorce, loss of health).

The method I use is cognitive-behavioral therapy with focus on the existential questions in life. Also I use the 12-step philosophy.
